About Held & Supported
Held & Supported was built from personal experience, genuine love for mothers, and a deep belief that no one should have to navigate this season alone.
Our Mission
At Held & Supported, our mission is to care for mothers during the deeply vulnerable postpartum season. The early days of motherhood can be beautiful, overwhelming, and isolating all at once. We are committed to providing practical support and a calming presence so mothers can rest, recover, and focus on their baby. By helping with the everyday tasks that often feel impossible during this time, we aim to create space for peace, safety, and the feeling every mother deserves—to be seen, held, and supported too
Meet the Founder
Held & Supported was created from a deeply personal experience with postpartum motherhood.
After the birth of my daughter Nina in January 2024, I found myself navigating the early days of motherhood largely on my own. The postpartum season can be one of the most beautiful times in a woman's life, but it can also be one of the most physically and emotionally demanding. As I recovered from birth, I was breastfeeding around the clock, barely sleeping, and trying to care for a newborn while also managing the everyday responsibilities of a home and a life. My body was healing while the rest of the world kept moving, and there were days when even the smallest tasks felt impossible.
The exhaustion of those early weeks is something that is hard to put into words until you are living it. It is the kind of tired that settles into your bones. It is waking up to feed your baby for the fourth time before dawn and still finding dishes in the sink, laundry that needs folding, and a to-do list that never gets shorter. It is the anxiety that hums quietly underneath everything, the feeling of being completely overwhelmed while also feeling like you should be grateful, like you shouldn't need help, like you should be able to handle it.
I also came to understand something many mothers experience but don't always say out loud. While support is often offered with love and good intentions, it doesn't always look like the kind of help a mother truly needs. Most mothers want to hold their baby. What they need is support with everything else.
In those moments, what would have made the biggest difference was having an extra set of hands. Someone calm and trustworthy to come into my home and help with the things that were quietly piling up — laundry, dishes, a warm meal, an errand, or simply holding my daughter so I could take a real shower and feel like myself again, even just for twenty minutes.
Postpartum is one of the most transformative and vulnerable seasons in a woman's life. Yet so many mothers move through it feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unseen.
Held & Supported was created so that mothers don't have to carry that weight alone.
My mission is to provide practical, caring support and a calm and steady presence in the home so that mothers can experience more peace during their postpartum journey. By helping lighten the invisible load of early motherhood, I hope to create space for rest, healing, and the feeling every mother deserves — to be held, seen, and supported too.
My Certification Journey
After experiencing the postpartum season firsthand and building Held & Supported from that place, I knew I wanted to deepen my knowledge and formalize my training. I am currently working toward my postpartum doula certification through DONA International, one of the most respected certifying organizations in the field.
DONA International's certification process is comprehensive and rigorous, covering everything from newborn care and lactation support to postpartum mental health, evidence-based education, and the emotional and practical needs of new families. Completing this certification means I am not only showing up for families with personal experience and genuine care, but with a formal foundation of knowledge and professional standards behind me as well.
As part of the final steps of my certification I am currently working with a small number of families at a reduced rate. If you are interested in learning more about what that looks like I would love to connect.

Integrity You can count on honesty, consistency, and clear communication in every interaction.
Nurturing Care is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I am supporting your home or simply creating space for you to rest, every visit is carried out with gentleness and intention.
It Takes A Village
It truly does take a village to raise a child and it takes a village to support a mother too. Held & Supported is proud to be rooted right here in Marquette, MI, serving the families and mothers of the community I call home.
Being local means more than just showing up at your door. It means I can be one part of your village, a familiar, trusted presence during a season when connection matters most. It also means I am here to help you find the other parts. Whether that is connecting you with local resources, support groups, or services that Marquette has to offer, I want every mother I work with to feel less alone and more held by the community around her.
You deserve a village. I would be honored to be a part of yours.
